Do some Vocabulary, Again: Economy List

Circle: Make a prediction about "The Rivals".  It could be something about a particular character or the plot of the story, etc...

Check Your Stocks

Rumford or Cape
Essential Question: Can where you live shape who you become?
Learning Target: In this unit you practice using information from a variety of sources, determining possible biases to determine meaning, then using your conclusions to make a complicated decision.

At your Table: Identify the most compelling scenes or quotation at your table that support moving to Cape and Rumford.  Share with the class.

Video: Continue "The Rivals"
Learning Target: You will be able to watch a video, take notes that describe specific quotes and scenes and describe what it means in terms of how they make you feel about Cape Elizabeth and Rumford.
Sequence:
1) Note packet
2) Watch
3) Take notes on what you saw, and what it means
4) Watch
3) Take notes, etc.

Demographic Exploration: Looking at Rumford Demographics and Cape Elizabeth Demographics, how are the two places different? ONLY different, not better or worse.
1) Work on your own to go through the document, developing observations and questions.
2) Ask questions
3) Work on your own a little while longer
4) With your group, share what you found for differences.
5) With your group, identify what you think the differences mean.
