Do some Vocabulary: Economy List

Rumford or Cape
Essential Question: Can where you live shape who you become?
Learning Target: In this unit you practice using information from a variety of sources, determining possible biases to determine meaning, then using your conclusions to make a complicated decision.

At your Table: What do you know about Cape Elizabeth?  What do you know about Rumford?

Activity: Make your child!

Circle: You are 40 years old and are a single parent. You have a job offer to work at a Subway in either Rumford or Cape Elizabeth. In both towns, you will be offered low income housing so you will be able to live in whichever community you pick. Your primary concern is your son who is both a good student and an incredible football player -- so good that he will likely get a scholarship to college.  If both schools have good football programs, which job are you going to take and why?

Framing the Unit: In this unit, you will be using information to decide whether to move to Cape or Rumford.
