Jared Golden will be answering 3 questions on Friday:
1) When you enlisted, what did you think your mission was going to be?
2) We’re watching a documentary called Restrepo and it looks like things can get pretty frustrating during a deployment. Did you experience frustration while you were deployed in Afghanistan or Iraq?
3) When you were deployed, did your thoughts and feelings change about what you were being asked to do?
4) One of the reasons you chose to run for representative is to help veterans get the services they need. How much do veterans suffer as a result of combat?
5) As both a veteran and a congressman, what questions would you need answered before agreeing to authorize the deployment of American soldiers?
6) What do you think should be the criteria for sending soldiers into harms’ way?
7) One of the things that we’ve figured out during the pandemic is that economic instability leads to real pain and suffering for Americans. So while the military’s primary responsibility is to protect America, do you think that includes protecting our economic interests as well?
