Today
1) How to use a spreadsheet lesson: you'll learn how to make simple calculations and manipulate data.
2) Making a simple road trip budget.
3) The personal budget: What are the items we need to have on a budget? I'll build my own spreadsheet as you follow along. We will have three columns for expenses: estimates, initial budget, adjusted budget.
Break for reading practice
4) There will be 6 stations you will be cycling through. At each station you will be researching specific budget needs and entering them on your spreadsheet.
5) When the budget is complete, make adjustments to ensure future happiness!
Reading Practice
We will read for 20 minutes each class to get better at reading.
