Reading Literature: Writing

Learning Target:  I can determine the meaning of a story by examining the author's use of characterization.

Look at the questions developed last week.

1) Last week, we read "Indian Camp" and generated questions about the unknowns (below the tip of the iceberg).

2) Review the question at your table.

Now we will look at ways that we can write about this story (with links to web sites that will help with each style):

1) Express & reflect

2) Inform & explain (can't use this one!)

3) Evaluate & judge

4) Inquire & explore

5) Analyze & interpret

6) Take a stand & propose solution

We will put these on the board and use turn and talk to identify how you could write about "Indian Camp" using these on of these methods.
