Circle: 1. A specific skill you would want if it could just be downloaded into your brain.  2. If you knew that you were going to be stranded on a deserted island for 7 years, what sentimental item would you bring?

Practice Vocabulary: At your desk you will take a practice quiz and then you will help each other correct it without notes, and then with notes.

Learning Target: I can explain the connections between historical events and the present. 

1. You will be determining how good the information is. What do you notice? Who, what, where, when, why.

2. At your desk your job is to decide which piece of information is more believable.  Make an argument for the one you chose and argument for why you didn't choose the other.

2. Look at Documents B and answer the following questions at the bottom of sheet on your own.      

3. Compare answers with the people at your table.  Remember the Football DBQ.

4. At you table you will be determining which information is more reliable or are they both reliable?

5. Can you compare it to anything that is going on in the USA? Military is getting fatter.

6. What is the evidence and how would it make you feel if it was happening in the USA and do you think it was a major reason Rome fell?  Write a paragraph in your document.  "One of the reasons that historians believe Rome fell was because of..."CEW.   Next paragraph-How would you feel if this was happening in the USA and do you believe it could lead do our downfall or not? Example: 

7. Read, understand, discuss, write, repeat.
