Seating Chart and seating chart activity(scavenger hunt).

Best evidence scavenger hunt - get acquainted with your new seating chart group and practice figuring out how to support claims with the best evidence. Start with classic nursery rhymes, then practice with The Present.

Announce for Wednesday: You will be writing/editing your Fall of Rome paper.  We will also be going over how to write and effective introduction and conclusion.  This will be the only time you will have in class to complete the paper.  (Red Green Blue)

Learning Target: I can explain the connections between historical events and the present. 

1. You will be finishing up the last piece of evidence to determine the Fall of Rome document.
2.You will be determining how good the information is. What do you notice? Who, what, where, when, why.
3. Today you will be looking at the evidence that talks about natural disasters  as well as a plague(Like Covid) that hit Rome to see if it was another reason Rome eventually fell.
4. Before 2020 we had never experienced a plague like Rome before.  Obviously we are all changed to one degree or another by what happened but was it enough to forever change our path(USA).  At your table create T-Chart about the good and bad of Covid.  On your create a list of impacts both positive and negative.  Create a T'Chart at your table and decide if it was enough to impact us and by virtue Rome in a negative or positive way.
5.What is the evidence and how can it be used to argue why Rome fell?  Write a paragraph in your document.  "One of the reasons that historians believe Rome fell was because of..."CEW.
