Identify specifics from the text that connect to existing or new topics.  If you wish, try to develop a theme.

Character Development
In self-selected groups, pick a character and on stick-figure posters, attach sticky-notes with textual evidence of what their character is like.  Focus on: what the character thinks, says, wears, does or what others think or say about the character. The sticky-notes must have page numbers and quotes from the text.

What is Revolution
In history, we are heading into a unit on revolution.
First: vocabulary:
oppression
revolution
political revolution
economic revolution
technological revolution
industrial revolution
religious revolution

Then, in self-selected groups, create a presentation in which your group explores a revolution in history and explains:

  1. What type of revolution was it?
  2. Does the revolution have a name?
  3. Where did the revolution occur?
  4. Why did the revolution occur?
  5. What were the goals of the revolution?
  6. Who were the key figures in the revolution?
  7. What are the lasting impacts of the revoluton?
