Today, we will be ending our unit on "Speak" by writing an essay. Here's the procedure:
1) Review the broad topics on whiteboard & notebook (5 minutes)
2) Sit by yourself get all your materials together review and draft possible thesis statements (5 minutes)
2) In self-selected groups of 3, brainstorm thesis statements (5 minutes)
3) Select top one to three thesis statements (5 minutes)
4) Share with class; teacher record & print.
5) Write
