Meyers-Briggs Test Debrief
We'll be handing out a document that explains how your personality both helps and hurts group.
Get in groups of two; prepare presentation that explains the Myers-Briggs profile of your partner and how they both help and hurt groups.

Group Essay on "The Things They Carried"
In groups of 4-5, you will be writing an essay that supports a single thesis.
Sequence:
1) Given the list of broad themes, decide as a group the top 4 that exist in the book. Be prepared to present to the class what you see in the book as supporting those themes.
2) As a group, decide on the best theme of any mentioned in the room. Create a thesis statement using the formula we will be teaching.
3) As a group, using Pages on your local computer and airdrop to share with your partners, create on essay made up of the same number of paragraphs as there are group members. The essay must have a conclusion and introduction.
NOTE: Name your essay "lastname firstname groupessay bbxx"  In the paper itself, list the group names at the top.

Understand Rome through visual aids (20 minutes)
-Using a ten-foot piece of string, create a time line that starts at the beginning of the Roman Empire and ends with today.  On it you must include the following:
Correct dates using BC and AD
The birth of Jesus Christ
Rome's beginning
Pax Romana
Julius Ceasars reign
Nero's reign
Christianity becoming official religion on Roman empire
Fall of the Western Roman empire
The Fall of the Eastern Roman empire
Christopher Columbus landing in the "New World".
The American Revolution
Invention of the phone
Invention of TV
Invention of the Internet
Your birth
