Empires Falling
Challenge: Create a presentation that explains why empires fall -- think about who what where when why.
Task: From the Empires you selected last week, select two and determine the list of reasons that the empires fell and who the source of that information is. Create a presentation the explains the reasons.

Introduction about Rome
Introduction: We'll be studying the Roman Empire for the purpose of both learning about the history of Rome and learning how to analyze historical patters. Today, we'll start with learning interesting things about life in the Roman Empire.
Challenge: Use your computer to research bizarre facts about Rome.

At your table, identify likely broad themes in the book. Share. Then identify a section in the book that contains likely symbolism. At your table determine how the symbolism was used to help explain a theme.
