1) Rumford or Cape Essay Completion
To remind yourself what is required in your essay, take out the rubric that was handed out to you last week.

Time to color code your essay:
-your thesis should be at the end of your opening paragraph and should be bold
-each paragraph should begin with a claim that is red and bold
-each paragraph should have specific evidence that should be green and bold
-Each paragraph should have a extensive warrant that should be blue and bold
-all other parts of the paragraph should be black

2) Silent Reading
When you have finished coding your essay, read.

3) Circle: should we go to war with ISIS using ground troops?  Yes or No
-define "ground troops," and "ISIS."

4) Independent Research: What is ISIS?
Time using the internet to research and take notes on the situation with ISIS: Who are they? What do they want?
-For each source, determine who they are and what their audience is.
-When completed you will report out at your table, then your table will report out to 1/2 the class.
