Circle: Someone gives you $10,000 but the catch is you have to spend it on yourself.  You can't give it away, you can't spend it on someone else, and if you save it, you have to give back what you don't spend, and it can't be practical.  What would you do?

Geography: Ukraine, Russia, Vietnam, China, Afghanistan, Iraq

Geography Pre-Test: Which Asian countries can you identify?

Entry Ticket: How do you deal with difficult emotions?  (i.e. sadness, fear, anger). Write 5 lines. 

1. Read together up to page 7.  Stop and collect quotes and unpack them using the template.  Share out. 
2. Finish chapter 1.  Collect 3 quotes on your own and unpack.  Share out as a class the "best" quote you found.  Turn these in. 
3. Look through the questions on the movie guide.  What questions are we going to be looking for? 
4. Get back into Restrepo.  Take notes on the movie guide. Stop periodically to check in.   

Exit Ticket: What emotions do you think you would be feeling?  How would you (or would you want to) be grieving and dealing with difficult emotions during wartime?  (10 lines)
