5/6 Words: colloquial, anachronism, myriad
7/8 Words: Hubris, satire, enigma
Unit: Fall of Rome
Learning Target: I can examine original source documents to determine whether they support a position.
Today, we'll be using stations to examine each document.
Start at your table, then:
1) Select a volunteer to read the questions aloud
2) Set a timer for the amount of time needed to silently read the document (about a minute for every 100 words)
3) As a group, answer each of the questions on your own sheet of paper.
4) As a group, formulate the claim you can make about how the information from this document led to the fall of Rome.
5) Compose your own paragraph with a single claim, quoted or paraphrased evidence, and a simple warrant explaining how that evidence led to the fall of rome.
6) If you have extra time, complete other paragraphs that are incomplete.
When the time is up, move to the next document.
