Egg Drop:

Seating Chart Activity (Need seating charts): 
Egg Drop Activity
Learning Target: Learning how to build a community in the classroom by engaging in a common activity and working towards a common goal.

Challenge: Create an egg protection unit that will let an egg survive a drop from 15 feet but can be opened within 10 seconds of impact.
Procedure: At your tables, given all the materials, distribute the materials around the room equally.  Once completed, you will be assigned to a random table and given 20 minutes to create your egg protection unit.
Some requirments
-Egg must have a name.

-Egg must have a back story that is no longer than a minute.
-The delivery device may not have any parachute type apparatus.
-The delivery device must fit within the given dimensions.

-Egg must have walk up music
Humex Money is determined by the:
-quality of your story
-the appropriateness of your music selection
-how well you follow protocol
-survival of the egg
The egg drop sequence
-the group doing the egg drop must approach the rail together appearing from out of view.
-one person will then present the story of the egg
-when story is complete another person will announce,"commence operation egg drop"
-another person must yell, "deploy recovery team"
-two people will then descend the stairs and declare,"recovery team in position"
-launch team will then respond,"launch team ready"
-recovery team will then count down from five, "54321 drop."
-upon impact timer will start for 10 seconds.  The egg must be successfully extracted and help up before the timer hits 0.
-When the egg must be held aloft and announce,"operation successful"
-if broken you must declare,"Houston, we have a problem"

5) Report out at your table

Career Unit: Career Exploration

1) Got to Truity.com find your MB type, then search career possibilities.
2) Log the Occupational Handbook or Ferguson's Career Center
3) Spend 5 minutes free clicking to see the types of information there is.
4) Explore your career, taking notes. (15 minutes)

College/Career Loom Presentation (Due Friday, October October 28th)

Learning Target: I can use presentation technology to organize and present information.

1) Create a new Google slide show with the slides necessary to present your college and career choices.

2) The content of the slides is up to you and what you found interesting about the college/career

3) Create a Loom 1-2 minute Loom video to present the slideshow.

     Loom steps: a) log into Loom using google account; b) install Chrome extension (Chromebook) OR download app (Mac); c) record!
