Unit: Economics -- Globalization Writing

1) As a quick reminder, write down what's good about globalization.  Then write down what might be bad about globalization.

Understand: Relying on globalization means we have military obligations

2) How many different countries does the USA have soldiers stationed in?

3) Write for 4 minutes your understanding about what war is like.

4) Write for 3 minutes what situation would make you willing to go to war.

We will be watching the film Restrepo -- a documentary about soldiers' experiences in Afghanistan in 2009. After watching this, you will understand the personal cost to globalism.

     1) Watch the assigned segment, taking notes.

     2) Debrief with the group the specific things you saw or heard in the video that helps explain a soldier's experience in war.

     3) Write an evidence based paragraph on what it is like to be a soldier deployed in a combat zone.   paragraph
