Activity: Minimum wage is 15hr. 2.How much is your labor worth right now? 4.What are your current skills that make you more valuable than 15hr? 3.Why do people pursue college and careers?
Career and College Fair Tuesday: Go over assignment. What is a career you are considering and what kind of training would you need?
Truity Create list of possible careers that interest you from the list. What kind of education or training would you need to get the job? You will present at your table and then tables will report out on the most interesting job you heard about and what it takes to get it.
What is college and career fair? What interests you right now?
For Tuesday: You will be visiting at least 3 different colleges/career and introducing yourself with a handshake. How did you do? How did the other person do? For Wednesday you will need to have the name of the organization, the name of the person you spoke to, what the organization is known for, and one fact you learned about it.

I can explain the connections between historical events and the present. Adolph Eichman1. Take our survey we filled out Friday about issues in the USA.
2. Look over survey and with the person across from you make a judgement about whether America is on the wrong track, right track or is this just another bump in the history of the USA? Civil War, Civil Rights, Vietnam...etc.
4. Identify your 3 biggest concerns and write them down in the document.
5. Rotate with you computer and share and defend your top reason. This is a chance to modify if you choose.
6. Rotate again and repeat.
7. Divide the room by how you feel America is doing. Decline, Same, or getting better? Put into perspective the Civil War, Civil Rights, Vietnam...etc.
8. At table, discuss how we could know if we should be worried? Ye- Anti-semiticism?
9. Is there a connection between what America is going through and what Rome experienced?
You will be taking notes figuring out what the 8 reasons.
10. Create list of the 8 reasons
12. Hand out first document on background. What are the important dates? Do you see any similarities to the situation in the USA?
13.Create timeline on board.
14. Pass out Doc A. Who wrote it? When was it written? Who is the audience? Determine bias. Do they seem credible?
15. What is the evidence and how would it make you feel if it was happening in the USA and do you think it was a major reason Rome fell? Thesis- I can understand why Rome fell because if (Evidence, Evidence Evidence) happened here in the USA I could see why the Roman Empire eventually fell.
