New Book Activity:
We'll be reading The Things They Carried. Using the Theme/Topic sheet, identify the topics the book might cover by judging the cover.  From what you know about war, predict what the book might contain.

Careers Unit 
We'll start the process of gathering points for the career's unit.
1) Getting organized:
--In your Google Drive, create a folder named "LastName FirstName Career Project Work." (Mine would be "Burns Brewster Career Project Work."
--Share it with Mr. Burns
--This is the folder you'll be putting all your careers work in

3) Complete a college fact sheet
4) Complete a career fact sheet
5) Shawn Achor on how happiness can be used as an advantage
6) Add your Meyer's-Briggs' work to the folder
Target: Learn to watch a video and take notes

Homework for Honors:
Interview a relative about their job; submit via Google Classroom.  Required questions (these are listed in the Google doc attached in Google Classroom):
Is this something you see yourself doing forever?
What are some pros and cons of this job?
What made you want to do this job?
What are the hours like?
What are interactions like with co-workers?
What are some of the more rewarding aspects of your job?
Is this job enjoyable?
What are the educational requirements/what training is needed for the job?
Are there any costs to you in this job?
What are the physical demands of the job? Is it safe?
Target: After this, you should feel more comfortable conducting an interview.
