Circle: Where do you feel like it would be easier to "fit in"? Cape or Rumford?
Paragraph writing: Using you quotes from the first part of the rivals create a paragraph using one of your values you want your child to have and explain how the quotes either support your beliefs or go against it.
Values: What do you think Jim Alyward values and what do you think Aaron Filieo value? Using the list create a list of values you think they would say is important for their team?

Activity: During the documentary you will be taking notes and then sharing out what you noticed with the people at your table. We will then share out with the group important quotes and scenes that help us figure out how the two communities support their values.

Activity: To understand the power of culture we first need to identify the rules of OH culture and and what they are.
Circle: Name one thing or look that will be "out" by the time you take your yearbook photo? Or a fashion trend you wish would go away.

The Scenario: You have the opportunity to raise your child in either Cape Elizabeth or Rumford. Your family will earn $140,000. One parent is a chemical engineer and the other a nurse. This amount of yearly income would allow you to buy a house in either town up to but not over 350,000. That will mean very different things in each community -- you will very comfortable in Rumford, and house poor and struggling in Cape. Your child will have very different experiences in each.
1) Your child. Make and determine the values you want your child to have in order for them to have a happy, successful life. Write three on the back.
2) Quick research on each town. Cape Elizabeth High School Mountain Valley High School
3) Turn and talk -- what did you find?
4) Make your choice: Cold call. Your pick and why.
5) Place your child.
