Your Task: write an essay in which you explain how the theme is developed in the short film "The Present."
Introduce the idea of structuring your essay as follows:
Part 1: Use one or more paragraphs to explain how symbols, setting or characterization develop the character as they are at the begining/ OR how they define the problem.
Part 2: Use one or more paragraphs to explain how symbols, setting or characterization develop the character as they are at the end AFTER CHANGING/ OR how they solve the problem.
Presentations: At your tables, develop possible essay plans to present.
If Time
Stock Market Game:

We will be giving each group a company to research and either recommend to buy or not to buy.
1) We give you a company: Caterpillar, Netflix, Coca Cola.
2) Silent research time -- read an article on the company.
3) Group preparation time: Each person will present a pro of con, one person will explain the conclusion.

online version of the Meyers-Briggs personality test. We will continue to use the results to helpful you understand your strengths and weaknesses.
