Hemingway Essay
Learning Target: I can explain how the theme is developed in a text.

We will be finishing the essay on Hemingway's three short stories: "India Camp," "The Doctor and the Doctor's Wife" and "The End of Something." See all the stories here.
The Steps:
  -Review your formative assessment score

  -Continue writing following the expectations:

           -CCR: Two paragraphs from the previous stories, one new paragraph from "The End of Something."

           -Honors: Two paragraphs from the previous stories, two new paragraph from "The End of Something."

           -All: Paper is double-spaced, name/date/class in an upper corner, title, etc.

Unit: Independent Reading

Learning Target: I can identify when an author uses characterization and infer it's meaning. 

Read your independent reading book. Mr. Burns will be conferencing with you on your reading.

Unit: Fall of Rome

Learning Target: I can make explain the connections between historical events and the present.

3. Weird facts about Rome-At your table make a brief list of the strangest things you found to report out
4. Is there a connection between what America is going through and what Rome experienced? 
You will be taking notes figuring out what the 8 reasons.
